MOVING MEDITATIONS – YOGA & THE FIVE GREAT ELEMENTS
All the Vedic schools of philosophy, especially Samkhya, Yoga and Ayurveda view the world and all of cosmic creation as made up of the five great elements, the “panca maha bhuta-s”. We are not separate from the universe, but an integral part of it. Therefore these fundamental elements constitute and affect not only the world around us, but also every level of our being. Including our physical bodies, behaviours, relationships, motivations, actions and thoughts.
This workshop is an experiential journey of discovery through the elements. By exploring the microcosm of our own bodies we will also come into greater understanding of the macrocosm, the larger world as a whole, and develop tools and understanding for greater balance and harmony in our everyday lives.
